ValleyCats Top Staten Island, 10-9
Michelangelo White did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Staten Island Pizza Rats from losing the game, 10-9, to the Tri-City ValleyCats in 11 innings at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. White was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Earning his 2nd save for Tri-City was Dan Harper. Tri-City now has a record of 33-32 with the win.

Tri-City needed the clutch hitting of Jack Sullivan to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the ValleyCats on top, 10-9. For the game, Sullivan had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Sullivan, "this wasn't it."
