2-1 Win for Youngstown in Extras
The Youngstown Gremlins found a way to sneak past the Batavia Muckdogs, 2-1, in 11 innings. Youngstown pitcher Diamante Sorondo, for one, had a standout performance. Youngstown reliever Al Lowry was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Don Hamburg. The 'W' lifts Youngstown's record to 30-34.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, an error by the Muckdogs allowed the Gremlins to score the winning run.
