Getting an impressive start from Sam Snowden, Aberdeen beat State College by the score of 8-2. In 6.1 innings, Snowden surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Getting the save was Manuel Jiménez, his 2nd.

In the bottom of the first, Cam Filiatreau delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Aberdeen second baseman hit a 3-run home run, putting the Ironbirds in front, 8-2.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Snowden.

At 31-33, the Ironbirds find themselves in 7th place in the New York-Penn League South Division.
