Ochoa Powers Spikes Offense
Due in large part to left fielder Jeff Ochoa, the State College Spikes sunk the Connecticut Tigers, 15-7. Ochoa was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Caden Coleman, credited with the save, is now 12 for 17 in save opportunities. With the win, the Spikes improved to 45-25.

Morris Kovar, who is tied for 8th in the NYP with a .428 on-base percentage, chipped in a 3-run home run for State College in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Spikes manager Bobby Spencer. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
