Briggs Helps Tigers Beat Knights, 12-7
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Las Vegas Knights, 12-7, in National League action at Comerica Park. Elton Briggs pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs. The Knights, at 6-16, have stumbled out of the gate.

Briggs contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Detroit get the win.

"I'm proud to wear a Detroit jersey," Briggs told the Detroit Citizen. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
