Jammers Stop Hawks, 4-1
|
The Jamestown Jammers beat the Boise Hawks, 4-1, at Jammers Ballpark. Starting pitcher Jon Muldoon was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The save was Henry Messinger's, his 10th. The Jammers sit in 6th place in the New York-Penn League North Division with a record of 15-20.
The Jammers got a big at-bat from catcher Kyle Bryant. For the game, Bryant went 1-3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Jamestown a 2-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Jamestown manager Ryan O'Donnell. "It's usually not just one thing."
