Rogue Valley starter Simón Veneto kept the Brooklyn hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 10-1. Veneto got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Veneto allowed 1 run. The third-place Dodgers improved to 22-13.
Vince Readel, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Readel contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Rogue Valley up, 2-0.
