A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Bend Rafters and Yakima Valley Pippins.

Behind the hitting of Aldomiro Chacon, the Bend Rafters stopped the Yakima Valley Pippins, 6-3. Chacon went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch for the Rafters. The win leaves Bend with a record of 5-0.

Chacon had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 changeup from Stan Hill, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Rafters a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Chacon.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Yakima Valley manager Victor Arias.
