Frederick goes 4-for-6 to Light AquaSox Fuse
Crowds lined up early in front of Medford Grounds, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2068 Short Season A season. On the mound was Lorenzo Suriel for the visiting Everett AquaSox and Iván Alanis for the hometown Medford Flying Tigers. In a spirited contest, the AquaSox pulled out the win, defeating the Flying Tigers by the score of 15-14. Especially impressive was Jason Frederick. Everett pitcher Matthew Waldon got the win. He's now 1-0. Mitch Cortez was tagged with the loss.

Everett needed the clutch hitting of Jimmy Raynor to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the AquaSox on top, 15-13. For the game, Raynor had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Frederick told the Everett Daily.
