The Olympia Spartans buried the Medford Flying Tigers, 13-1, under a barrage of hits. Robert Burton led the onslaught, going 1-for-3 for Olympia. The win gives Olympia a record of 2-1.

Rick Crosby had a big 2-run double for the Spartans in the top of the fourth inning. With Olympia leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Dylan Gavara and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spartans ahead, 4-1.

"They took it to us," said Medford manager Ray Badgerow.
