The Rogue Valley Dodgers defeated the Everett AquaSox, 4-0, in Northwest League action at Everett Memorial Stadium. Rogue Valley pitcher Emmanuel Waas had a standout performance. Waas picked up the win for Rogue Valley, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Picking up his 2nd save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Harry Magallanes.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from catcher Ezequiel Gonzáles. For the game, Gonzáles was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Rogue Valley a 1-0 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Everett manager Johnny Stricklin.
Everett is 4-2 after the defeat.
