10-4 Win for Los Angeles Over Vancouver
|
The first-place Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Vancouver Cascades in front of a spirited crowd.
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Vancouver Cascades, 10-4, in American League action at Dodger Stadium. Tyler Ross pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2. Oberon Werner earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 2-0.
Lew Lewis, who leads the AL in hits with 31, aided the Los Angeles cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Lewis told the Los Angeles Daily News.
Early on, the Dodgers, at 16-6, have excelled.
