Shields, Everett Top Sea Unicorns, 4-1
|
The Everett AquaSox got a strong performance from pitcher Nathaniel Shields. Dr. Jeckyll stymied the Gold Beach offense en route to a solid, 4-1 win at Everett Memorial Stadium. It was the 8th win in 11 games this year for the defending champion AquaSox, who are picking up where they left off.
Shields was charged with no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings for the AquaSox. With the win, the 6-foot-5, 200-pound right-hander goes to 2-0.
"Nathaniel is one tough son of a gun," said Everett manager Johnny Stricklin.
