The Redmond Rattlers defeated the Abbotsford Canucks, 4-2, at Ron Tonkin Field. Redmond catcher Leonardo Pineda had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Getting the save was Angel Everett, his 3rd. With the win, Redmond is 6-6.

The Canucks had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Rattlers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old center fielder Ray Collins came to the plate. Collins hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from Abbotsford hurler Ethan Ferrand. It was Collins's 5th double of the year.

Collins said his team "played with a purpose."
