Floundering Rapids Lose 7th Straight
|
The 7-3 Tri-City win over Niagara Falls was due largely to Keith McLellan. The Dust Devils center fielder was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lee Bricker picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Emiliano Caldera was tagged with the loss. The slumping Rapids have lost 7 straight.
Toddrick Winn, the 23-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Winn contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Tri-City up, 4-3.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Niagara Falls skipper Chris Cornwall.
