Knight, Flying Tigers Get 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Medford pitcher Andy Knight was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Roger Ferguson got credit for the save for Medford. It was his 11th of the year. Medford is in first place in the Northwest League South Division with a record of 29-13.
Knight, the winner, is now 4-2 after putting the clamps on the Youngstown offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while collecting 4 Ks.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Knight said.
