The New Westminster Cavalry wasted an inspired, 6.2-inning effort from starter Lance Horne, falling, 2-1, to the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns at Grays Harbor Ballpark. Rusbel Reyes, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. At 8-9, the Sea Unicorns are currently 5th in the Northwest League South Division.

Cecil Ellis had a direct impact on the outcome. Ellis contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Gold Beach up, 2-0.
