Olympia starter Robbin Porter had a strong outing against the Tri-City ValleyCats at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-1 win. Erik Lizarraga earned the save, his 1st, for the Spartans. With the victory, the Spartans upped their record to 30-16.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Edgardo Sardinas had a game-changing hit. The Spartans center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Myles Richards, making the score 4-1, Olympia.
