|
New Westminster Cavalry starter Tobias Slavich pitched a strong game against the Boise Hawks at Memorial Stadium, leading the Cavalry to victory, 7-0. Slavich yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-1. New Westminster is now 11-10.
Virgil Tennery had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for New Westminster. With the bases loaded and the Cavalry leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
