Allen hits 2 home runs to Ignite Spartans Offense
The Olympia Spartans topped the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns, 8-6, with left fielder Joe Allen playing a big role. Allen belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Spartans in the win. Jovan Brewer closed the game out for Olympia, earning his 7th save. The wins continue to add up for Olympia. The latest makes it 9 in a row.

With Olympia leading 4-0 in the top of the sixth, Allen came up to bat against Gold Beach pitcher Leland McGhee. Allen hit a changeup to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Spartans on top, 8-0.

"The team is playing at a high level," said Spartans manager Jim Todd.
