Abbotsford Gets 5-3 Win
|
The performance of Grant Rucinski proved critical in helping Abbotsford beat Everett, 5-3. The Canucks left fielder went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Lyle Mills got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. At 23-24, Abbotsford is in 7th place in the Northwest League North Division.
Gilles Boyce, the 23-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Boyce contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Abbotsford up, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Boyce said.
