In a low-scoring game between Eugene and Roseburg, pitcher Dan Kendall was excellent. The Eugene right-hander helped his team knock off the Owls, 2-0. The winner was Kendall. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mario Rye. Christopher Whitehead recorded his 9th save for Eugene.
Herbert Bradley helped out the Eugene cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3.
"Dan attacked hitters and trusted his stuff," said Eugene manager Oscar Luevano.
Eugene is now 15-16, Roseburg 8-23.
