Late Magic Gets Youngstown 6-4 Win
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Filipe Polo, the Youngstown Gremlins defeated the Connecticut Tigers, 6-4. Polo went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Gremlins. Cris Puig earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Julius Major was credited with the save for Youngstown, his 14th of the season.

Polo had a timely hit for Youngstown in the bottom of the eighth. With Connecticut trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-2 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 6-4, Youngstown.

"I like our mindset right now," said Youngstown manager Danny Silva.

Youngstown currently is in third place in the New York-Penn League South Division at 30-21.
