Pippins Lose at Home, 5-2, to Everett
|
Despite a great performance by Yakima Valley center fielder Damian Linville, the Everett AquaSox defeated the Pippins by the score of 5-2 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Linville was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Everett winning streak has reached 3 games.
Everett used a clutch at-bat from Jonny Keating to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the AquaSox ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Keating called the win "an overall solid one."
