Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old second baseman Bryan Fleece, the Medford Flying Tigers stopped the Olympia Spartans, 7-1, in 9 innings. The third-place Spartans dropped to 23-11.

In the bottom of the fourth, Medford shortstop Peter White had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, White stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Medford. For the game, he went 1 for 4.
