Late Offense Lifts Tri-City to 5-2 Victory
|
The Tri-City Dust Devils and Everett AquaSox put on quite a show.
The Tri-City Dust Devils picked up a win at Everett Memorial Stadium, dropping the Everett AquaSox, 5-2, in 12 innings. Dylan Zuber, who leads the NWL with a 10.0 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Jorge Medina closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Tri-City used a timely hit from Ben Schamber to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Dust Devils ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I like winning," Schamber told the Tri-City News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
Tri-City is now 19-19, Everett 24-14.
