Weichman Delivers 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Yakima Valley and Wenatchee, pitcher Byron Weichman was excellent. The Yakima Valley right-hander helped his team knock off the Chiefs, 3-1. The Pippins now have a mark of 11-25.
Though he didn't earn the victory, Weichman kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Yakima Valley offense came through. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 hit and 1 run, while striking out 10.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Wenatchee manager Steve Marcy.
