Hawks Earn 2-1 Road Win Over Spokane
|
The Boise Hawks eked out a 2-1 win versus the Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Larry Weil. He was terrific. Weil picked up the win for Boise, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. The win elevated the Hawks to 26-11.
Boise went up, 2-0, on Ernie Ramage's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Ramage hit in the top of the seventh, left Spokane pitcher Benjamin Kandell shaking his head.
"Not everyone likes pitching duels," said Ramage. "But I do."
