Sea Unicorns Click Off Another Win, 7-2
|
Gold Beach shortstop Albert Scinta helped his team beat the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 7-2. Scinta, who is tied for 10th in the NWL in triples with 1, went 3 for 5 for the Sea Unicorns. Picking up the win was Paul Jordan. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 0. The Sea Unicorns have a winning streak of 6 games.
Gold Beach took a 5-2 lead on Scinta's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Luke Young in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Gold Beach to the win.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Gold Beach manager Jason Campbell.
