Lobsters Trip Jammers, 5-4, in Extra Innings
|
The Jamestown Jammers got a superb performance from pitcher Lee Saget, but the Maine Lobsters still won the game, 5-4. Saget threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Lloyd Cantu came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Maine, now 34-21, holds down first place in the New York-Penn League North Division.
Maine used a timely hit from Victor Kabayao to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Lobsters ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Kabayao.
