Torrence Williams pitched a dandy of a game to help the Bend Rafters beat the Yakima Valley Pippins, 7-1. The Bend win streak is now 3 games.

Bend took a 5-1 lead on Francisco Carrizales's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Carrizales hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Yakima Valley pitcher Felipe Hidalgo visibly frustrated.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Carrizales told the Bend Bulletin. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
