Cyclones Dump Rapids, 1-0

The Brooklyn Cyclones topped the Niagara Falls Rapids, 1-0, in New York-Penn League action at MCU Park. The standout performance belonged to Brooklyn pitcher and Lake Ripley, Wisconsin, native Adam Swanson. Brooklyn pitcher Tyler Eddy got the win. He's now 3-2. Eugene Stapleton was tagged with the loss. The Cyclones, at 30-26, sit in 6th place in the New York-Penn League South Division.
In the bottom of the seventh, Brooklyn center fielder Cody Lumadue hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 1-0, Cyclones.
"Bottom line," said Niagara Falls skipper Chris Cornwall, "we didn't play well enough to win."
