Lugo and Alvares Swapped Monday, June 17th , 2052 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Kansas City Royals and the Fresno Falcons. As part of the deal, the Royals swapped 36-year old RHP David Kohler, 28-year old RHP Agustin Lugo, and $2 in cash to the Falcons getting 26-year old 1B Eric Alvares in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. Fresno will retain a portion of Alvares's remaining contract. So far this year Lugo has 2 saves in 9 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 5.06 ERA. This season Alvares is batting at a .242 clip with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
