Cubs Ben Waters Wins WEST Award Monday, July 18th , 2050 Swinging a hot stick last week, Ben Waters picked up the Western Region Player of the Week Award today. The 26-year-old first baseman for Chicago lashed 12 hits in 24 at-bats as he put together a .500 average with 4 home runs. Waters also drove in 8 runs, scored 8 times and compiled a .556 OBP. So far this year Waters is batting .307 with 26 home runs, 61 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
