Negulescu Out of Action, Listed DTD Wednesday, August 14th , 2052 Philadelphia's star third baseman Kyle Negulescu injured himself in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a sore knee and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Negulescu with a smile as he talked to reporters. This year Negulescu has socked 135 hits in 455 at-bats for a .297 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .357 pace and his totals also include 61 RBIs and 73 runs scored. |
