Atlanta Deals Tapia to Cleveland for Mesa Monday, August 21st , 2056 The rumor has been out there for a while now and today it was made official. The Atlanta Braves have sent 18-year old minor league CF Norbert Tapia, 19-year old minor league 3B Billy Lamica, 19-year old minor league 3B Sullivan Seaberry, 19-year old minor league LF Benjamin Wenster, 18-year old minor league C Hernán Cortez, and $2 in cash to the Cleveland Indians for 24-year old RHP Hiroshi Kamiyama, 22-year old RF Iker Mesa, and $1,500,000 in cash. So far this season, Mesa has gotten 33 hits in 87 at-bats for a .379 batting average with 4 home runs. His stats include 21 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 22 games. |
