Olsen Best NL Starter in August Wednesday, September 1st , 2060 The National League scribes have announced August's Pitcher of the Month and have given the award to Jacob Olsen of Toronto. He was one tough cookie on the mound last month with a fine 5-0 mark to prove it. The Toronto star made 5 starts with a 1.41 ERA and surrendered 15 hits in 32 innings. He struck out 36 and walked 11. Olsen has made 23 starts so far this year and put up a 11-5 won-lost record with a 4.07 ERA. In 128.1 innings he has allowed 115 hits, walked 35 and struck out 117. |
