Alvarez Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against White Sox
Sunday, September 3rd , 2051
Las Vegas Knights catcher Patrick Alvarez put on a dazzling display of power today at Guaranteed Rate Field against the Chicago White Sox. In the 10-5 Knights victory Alvarez penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Chicago manager Mike Rhoades said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 29-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Alvarez said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Patrick Alvarez hit a solo-shot off Lyle Lundquist in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Lyle Lundquist in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Tyler Watkins in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.

In his season totals, Alvarez has 4 home runs, .282 BA, .349 OBP, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has played in 14 games.
