San Diego-Miami Swap: Job for Jones Monday, July 6th , 2065 There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 25-year old RHP Walt Kozlowski, 21-year old minor league RHP Alex Job, and $1 in cash left the San Diego Padres today en route to joining the Miami Marlins organization. 24-year old RHP John Puron and 27-year old RHP Woody Jones will be traveling to San Diego Padres to complete the swap. Miami will retain a portion of Jones's remaining contract. Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Jones has 17 relief appearances, pitched 13.1 innings and fashioned a 1-2 record with a 3.38 ERA. He has recorded 8 saves, struck out 12 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .264 when he is on the hill. |
