Red-Hot Romero MRL Player of the Week Monday, July 16th, 2007 Celaya Blue Wings first baseman Luis Romero rose above the controversy surrounding his soon-to-expire contract, thriving under pressure last week and copping the Player of the Week award in the Mexican Reserve League. Romero put up a .652 batting average (15-for-23) with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 10 times. So far this year Romero has 15 home runs and a .384 batting average. |
