Lerdo-Xitla Fight Results in Suspensions
Sunday, July 22nd, 2007
After an intense confrontation, both the Wolfhounds Bob Altman and the Steeldogs Chris August were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lerdo-Xitla game. Bob Altman will miss 5 games, while Chris August was suspended for 11 games.

"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Bob Altman commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."

Altman is hitting at a .234 mark this season. His stats show 2 home runs, 26 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played 78 games for the Wolfhounds.

This year August has compiled a 2-6 record with a 5.62 ERA in 11 starts.
