July's Top Starter Named in MRL Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 July's standout hurler was Yasuhide Caldeirinha of Madero. He muzzled Mexican Reserve League hitters and held them in check the entire month to capture the Pitcher of the Month award. To win the honor Caldeirinha compiled an impressive 5-0 mark and 1.54 ERA in 6 starts. The Dynamo star hurler also rung up 38 strikeouts in 35 innings. His record for the year is 12-4 in 21 starts and Caldeirinha has a 3.58 ERA. |
