Season May Be Over for Diplomats George
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007
Chuck George has to call it a season. The Jiutepec Diplomats second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Coatzacoalcos Pump Jacks and will not play again this year according to club doctors. George was injured while throwing the ball. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 7-8 months.

So far this season George has gotten 42 hits in 152 at-bats for a .276 batting average with 3 home runs. His stats include 22 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 49 games.
