Hitting Streak Still Alive for Esquivel Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 Sergio Esquivel of the Coatzacoalcos Pump Jacks extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 8-0 triumph over the Zitacuaro Tides at Pump Jacks Stadium. "Sergio has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Pump Jacks manager Sergio Espinosa joked after the game. Sergio Esquivel hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mitch Johnston in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th and flied out in the 7th. Thus far this year Esquivel has hit .280 with 16 home runs and 65 RBIs. |
