Season Over for Luis Herrera in Acuexcomac Saturday, August 18th, 2007 When Luis Herrera was hurt against the Xitla Steeldogs, the Acuexcomac Steelhounds were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 28-year-old reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Herrera would miss 9-10 months of the season. To date, Herrera has collected no saves in 25 relief appearances. He has rung up 24 strikeouts and 7 walks in 26.1 innings while registering a 3.08 ERA and a 1-2 won-lost record. |
