Cuicatlan Hexed: No-Hit by Gamboa Sunday, August 26th, 2007 Juan Gamboa relied on excellent pitch selection and pinpoint control to hold Cuicatlan hitless in a 9-0 win at Red Aces Ballpark today. "Nobody goes out to pitch a no-hitter," he said later. "We just go out and try to get a win. A 10-9 win is better than a 1-0 loss. My pitching buddies might not be too happy giving up nine runs but a win is a win. The key to it today was I mixed my pitches well. I kept the Red Aces off balance and guessing the whole game." The 24-year-old starter rung up 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in whipping the Red Aces. "When a guy is throwing strikes the way he was and is locating well, it is going to be a long day for any club," Cuicatlan skipper Jim O'Bryan said.
