Canucks Proust Gone for Year
Friday, August 31st, 2007
The season is finished for Jean-Marc Proust of the Delicias Canucks. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Canucks second baseman suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Huixquilucan Cannoneers. Team doctors said it would take at least 8-9 months to heal.

In 116 games Proust is hitting .284 this season with 116 hits, no home runs, 60 RBIs, 52 walks, .368 OBP and has scored 49 runs.
