Lavender: Big Hit in the Mexican Reserve League Monday, September 10th, 2007 Jon Lavender burst onto the Mexican Reserve League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie left fielder for San Luis garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 25-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .571 (8-for-14) with 1 home run and 6 RBIs last week. So far this season Lavender is batting .243 with 12 home runs. |
