Minatitlan Whitewashes Santa Catarina, Prechel Winner Sunday, September 16th, 2007 It wasn't easy but Tim Prechel made it look that way. Prechel silenced the Santa Catarina Imperials, 4-0, in a Minatitlan Gold Rush triumph at Imperials Ballpark today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Prechel said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 5 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." To this point in the season, Prechel shows a 9-5 record, 24 starts, 131 innings, 138 strikeouts and a 3.37 ERA. View Boxscore |
