Belman Wins MRL's Best Bat Award Monday, October 1st, 2007 Juan Belman put together a good September to earn the Mexican Reserve League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Zitacuaro officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Tides first baseman posted a .326 batting average with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Belman's current batting average stands at .331 and he has chalked up 28 home runs and 94 RBIs. |
