Player of the Week: Caris of the Grizzlies Monday, August 9th , 2038 Swinging a hot stick last week, Nathan Caris picked up the International League Player of the Week Award today. The 28-year-old second baseman for Maine lashed 13 hits in 32 at-bats as he put together a .406 average with 1 home run. Caris also drove in 4 runs, scored 6 times and compiled a .457 OBP. Thus far this season in 107 games Caris is batting .228 with 5 home runs, 29 RBIs and 62 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 438 at-bats. |
